Well that's just hobbits for you, isn't it!
So glad Matilda made it has Shero though!
Congratulations to Lovely Treez - lucky thing to get signed copies of your books! I shall just sit here and go an unattractive shade of green.

Sorry, Nicky...the Choosing Hat had the last word on the winner of the signed books, but I'm sure you look wonderful in green anyway. Actually, I'm glad Bilbo won the hero poll--he was definitely way out in front from the beginning. Matilda, Lirael and Dido were neck and neck till the very last minute.

I can live with Bilbo and Matilda. Shall i rename my children in honour of the winners - it strikes me as appropriate somehow

I think that would be extremely appropriate, Kathryn. I'm sure they will thank you when you explain it to them.

Those are good winners. And my Stanley did come second, so I forgive you Bilbo... :-))

Yay, Lovely Treez! Fun contest! Stanley Yelnats was an inspired choice and I'm sorry he didn't win but Bilbo is good too.

I'd have chosen Nancy Blackett and Kay Harker, but Bilbo an Matilda are deserving winners :-)

I'd rather it were Gollum... but Matilda is good :-) Thanks for doing this Lucy - great fun!

I've thanked you on Twitter, Lucy but just in case you missed it, I wanted to add my thanks here too. Luke and Eva were absolutely thrilled to receive their parcels containing two books each and personally dedicated by yourself. They have already brought them in for school "circle-time", usually reserved for Rainbow Fairies and lego so you are in esteemed company! The illustrations are beautiful and I'm so glad to have found a child-friendly introduction to the Greek Myths.
